New Features

1.1 Play mode
Now several play modes are available in audio and video player. Through the hand menu, you can now select to play one item or all items sequentially or randomly

1.2 Fan control
There is a temperature sensor in the box. The fan speed is linked to the internal temperature with PID controller (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PID_controller)

1.3 Screensaver in audio universe
So far, the screensaver did not activate in audio universe. Now, a brand new screensaver (displaying audio metadata) is active in audio universes too.

1.4 Better video subtitle handling
So far, we handle only SRT subtitle. With this version, we will handle SMI, SSA and SUB subtitles.

1.5 Thumbnail mode in photo universe
In Photo universe and in a folder which contains photos, you can display all photos in thumbnail mode.

1.6 Memorize photo rotation
In Photo universe, you can rotate a picture displayed in screen. The rotation will be saved (only for local content) and in the future this photo will be displayed rotated.

1.7 Help banner
Now a help banner offer a contextual help by indicating the available actions and their associated keys. This help can be deactivated in setting Universe.

Improvements

2.1 TV EPG
The EPG screen is displayed faster

2.2 Small files copy improvement
The copy of many small files in MTP (PC to the devices), Network, External HDD or USB Key have been improved

2.3 First boot back & next
With the current version, on the first boot, we can only go forward. Now, we can go back and forward. This feature allows the user to navigate from a first boot item to another.

2.4 First boot circular lists
This feature allows cyclic navigation lists on first boot (date, time zone, etc...)

2.5 TV scan cancel
So far, when we launch the TV scan, we cannot stop the scan. Now we can stop the scan and the last recorded channels are preserved or chose to not record the result at the end of the scan.

2.6 Video failsafe mode
This feature allows user to browse and test supported resolutions and choose one, by pressing 'home' during 5 sec in home menu and then cycling through the available resolutions by pressing 'left'.
When a resolution compatible with the display is reached the user can see a message which tells him to press 'ok' to accept this resolution.

2.10 Home menu pseudo cyclic
The main menu is cyclic

2.11 Id3 tags in audio navigator
Additionally in audio navigator, we added in the right of the screen id3 tags ( artist name, album name and song name).

2.12 Id3 tags in audio player
Additionally in audio player, we added in the left of the screen id3 tags ( artist, album and song name).

2.13 Info window audio id3 title
The title information is added in info Window.

2.14 Navigator double left home
Currently, in the root of any universe, to go to home menu, you can only press the “home key”. This new version also allows you to go to the home menu by pressing two times the left key in the root of any universes.

2.15 Parental rating picto navigator
Currently if you activate the parental control no information indicates that it is activated. With this version, a small picto (age) is displaying in the right low of the screen when the control parental is activated.

2.16 Question answer help keyboard
Add more explicit text while asking for the secret code

2.17 Record name format
The format of the file recorded for instant record or scheduled is:
<DD/MM/YYY> <channel name><HH:MM start> <HH:MM end>

The format of the file recorded for EPG is:
<DD/MM/YYY> <channel name> <program name>

2.18 Scheduled record : weekday displayed
When scheduling record we show also the day of the week next to the date automatically

2.19 Cyclic values in setting
In setting universe, some values are now cyclics (date time and secret code)

2.20 Setup reset box
Add clearer reset message.

2.21 Text scroll delay
Text scrolling on long name is triggered faster in navigator (1s instead of 2)

2.22 Update with older firmware
Currently when you plug ans usb key which contains the same or an older firmware the message is misleading (“integrity check failed”) In this version, the message indicates that the installed firmware is more recent. The approximate update time is also indicated (2 minutes)

2.23 TV zap invert up down
The zap logic is currently inverted. In this version we comply to the common logic: the up key increase the channel number.

2.24 Image rotation
When displaying image in the thumbnail mode, if you press the pause key and then use the wheel, the image will be rotated. The rotate action is still available in the hand menu.

2.25 Mute
The mute icon is persistent.

2.26 Tv scheduled record “smart” start time
Currently when you schedule record while the start time is in the past, the record does not start. In this version, if the start time is in the past, it will be replaced by the current time.

2.27 Demo Mode
Currently when you turn on off the product , the demo mode is stopped , you have to lanch again manually. In this version, when you start the demo mode, to stop it you have to press on on/off button

Bug fixes

3.1 HD improvement (TV and video)
The HD decoding was improved and discontinuities in HD flux is now better handled.

3.2 Wifi connection improvement
Re-connections to the same Access Point is better handled now (manual or following a network problem).

3.3 Desync Audio Video (Lipsync issues)
This fix corrects many desynchronization audio video but still desyncho on some video in the field.
The new Firmawre( M5-1) will fix again the other videos.

3.4 Many bug fixes (stability)
Many bug fixes improving stability and performance have been made
